The Merimbula Lakeview Hotel

1 Market Street
Merimbula
NSW 2548

Another holiday, another road trip, and our first stop was Merimbula. The Merimbula Lakeview Hotel lives up to its name, sat across the road from the lake. The first floor restaurant has views out across the expanse of water, which on a sunny day are fantastic. We has lunch here, and both took advantage of some of the range of four or five $10 specials which complimented the more expensive full dining menu. After securing a window seat and ordering at the counter we watched the world go by...

The beef curry contained plenty of meat along with it's tower of rice, and had a south east asian flavour to it.

I went for the pan fried salmon with chips and salad. The fish was well cooked and still moist, and the slightly smaller sized portion suited me. The salad was fresh and the chips good.

The service was pretty efficient and friendly and if you want a pub style meal with a great vista, this is a good option. The lunch specials are also great value.
